These beautiful reproduction military clocks have metal bezels with brass hinge, carefully aged to match the authentic and accurate dial. A real, but non-functioning winder is set into the face. The hinge and bezel are fixed & normally non-opening, but look absolutely functional.  Hand are painted phosphor steel of the correct design for the period.    see customer feedback.,,

Each clock  is fitted with a shallow stand-off back that stands the main body away from the wall for the authentic look. This is easily removed to make the clock more kitchen friendly, if required.  A couple of minutes are needed - (just remove 4 wood screws)- to turn it into a flush-to-wall type.

Ellis & Co. is a traditional clockmaker working the old fashioned way, but incorporating modern techniques and materials to produce Railway Clocks and Wall Clocks of rare character and presence that are affordable but would not look out of place in a museum or stately home.  No compromises have been made to the modern world. The faces are exact copies of original designs, down to the correct colour of the faded crackled background and perfectly proportioned numerals. The cases are to a traditional English turned design using synthetic materials and UV resistant lacquers to simulate antique wood.

We think the old craftspeople got it right.  We have just used magic and our nifty time machine to create the true antique look of a beautiful old object. You will find that the effort is worth it.

...these clocks are made of modern materials but you would never know it.

We have a no quibble returns policy.  If you are not delighted with your purchase we will pick it up and return your money.

Please see the page   Sector Clocks...How they worked,    for an explanation of the markings and unique features of this beautiful clock.
